How are trade fees calculated?

A fee is charged each time you buy or sell cryptocurrencies. Fees are calculated at the time you place your order. The applicable fees will be listed in the trade confirmation screen, which will be displayed before you submit your transaction.

Alto CryptoIRA charges a percentage fee when you buy or sell cryptocurrencies.

For Market Buy, Market Sell, and Limit Sell Orders

Alto CryptoIRA charges a percentage fee that is inclusive of the total USD amount.

For example: A market buy for $100 worth of BTC with a 1% fee looks like this.

100 ÷ 1.01 = 99.01

99.01 x 1% = 0.99

$99.01 is the executed value to buy BTC while $0.99 is the fee for a total of $100

Please note that any variances may be due to slippage. Slippage is the difference between the expected price of an order and the price when the order actually executes. The slippage percentage shows how much the price for a specific asset has moved. Due to the volatility of cryptocurrency, the price of an asset can fluctuate often depending on trade volume and activity.

For Limit Buy Orders

Alto CryptoIRA charges a percentage fee that is added on top of the total USD amount.

For example: A limit buy for $100 worth of BTC with a 1% fee looks like this.
100 x 1.01% = 101

$100 is the executed value to buy BTC while $1 is the fee for a total of $101
